Reactivity

D-18 is soluble in acetic anhydride and crosslinks when exposed to water, producing acetic acid.

Application and performance

Crosslinker for RTV-1 acetoxy sealant

D-18 is the main crosslinking agent for RTV-1 acetoxy sealant, which can be used alone or mixed with other acyloxy silanes to achieve the required performance and curing rate. The addition amount of D-18 is approximately 3-5%.
