Properties

D-34 is oxime silane-based crosslinkers for producing neutral moisture-curing silicone sealants.Using these silane compounds, hydroxyl-functionalized silicone polymers are crosslinked to obtain a silicone elastomer under the effect of a catalyst and moisture. When using D-34, acetic acid and ammonia are not released compared to acidic or alkaline crosslinkers, except for butyl ketoxime. Oxime crosslinkers can also be used for sensitive substrates such as marble, where the sealant reaction results in a neutral decomposition.

D-34 is a colorless to yellowish transparent liquid with a typical butanone oxime odor. The product readily hydrolyzes upon contact with moisture.

sD-34 is a liquid material suitable for neutral coagulation-cured silicone sealants. Functional silicone polymers containing hydroxyl groups can be cross-linked to obtain silicone elastomers in the presence of a platinum-tin catalyst and water.

Application

Crosslinker for RTV-1 sealant.D-34 is often used as a crosslinker agent for the  oxime silicone sealants, also can be used alone or in combination with other oxime silanes, which can give the adhesive unique properties (such as specified curing speed, adhesion, etc.). In contrast to acidic or other basic curing systems, it does not release an acid or ammonia flavor, but releases a unique flavor of butanone oxime during use. Due to the neutral properties of butanone oxime, adhesives made using D-34 can be applied to sensitive substrates such as metal or marble.
