Properties

◆ Bosil-294 is colorless and transparent liquid. It can hydrolyze with water and is soluble in various solvents.

◆ It is high purity undiluted octyltriethoxy methysilane. After being diluted with an appropriate solvent, it can be used to prepare waterproof products.

◆ The compatibility of mineral fillers or pigments in polyolefin can be improved, or their dispersion in nonpolar materials can be improved.

◆ It is a small molecular structure that penetrates deeply into the substrate surface.

◆ The substance reacts with air exposed to an acidic or alkaline environment and with water in the base to form hydroxyl groups. These hydroxyl groups bind to the substrate and itself, forming a water-repellent treatment layer that inhibits water penetration into the substrate.

Application

Bosil-294 is widely used as a waterproofing agent in commercial buildings, parking/garages, highways, bridge structures, and as a filler surface treatment.Specific performance is: as a building waterproof agent, protective agent, can form in the substrate surface hydrophobic layer, effectively prevent water seepage, sun, acid and alkali erosion, extend the service life of the building;Used as surface treatment agent for inorganic fillers to improve the dispersibility and compatibility of fillers in plastics, rubber and resins;As a dispersant for pigments, the treated pigments have better dispersibility.
