Properties

D-80 is a light yellowish liquid with white crystals at low-temperature . D-80 soluble in the most common ,such as benzene, toluene, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, ethanol, petroleum ether and other solvents and various industrial plasticizers, D-80 is insoluble in water.

Promotes rapid gelation and surface curing .

Improves mechanical properties in molded and slabstock foams.

Reactivity

D-80 is stable in aqueous solutions, but hydrolyzes at ambient temperatures in alkaline solutions.

Application

Catalyst for RTV

Mainly used as a catalyst for acetoxy sealant RTV-1.

Polyurethane catalyst

D-80 is a catalyst with strong gel properties, which can be used in polyurethane elastomers, adhesives, sealants, hard foam, molded foam, RIM, etc. D-80 can be used with amine catalyst and high speed production of high density structural foam, spraying hard foam, hard foam sheet. D-80 is also a drier for polyurethane coatings.

Stabilizers and lubricants for PVC products

PVC soft transparent products or semi-soft products, and barium stearate, cadmium stearate and other metal soap or epoxy compounds with good lubricity, transparency, weather resistance, and plasticizer compatibility, no spray, no vulcanization pollution, no adverse effects on thermal bonding and printability. Such as: soft film, film, plastic shoes, hose and PVC conveyor belt. In particular, it can be used as a catalyst for polyurethane foaming products. In PVC hard products, this product can be used as a combination with organotin maleate or thiol organotin to improve the fluidity of resin materials.

Silane crosslinked thermoplastics catalyst

D-80 accelerates the cross-linking curing of silane crosslinked polyethylene cables and pipes.

Other applications

Photothermal stabilizer for polyamide and phenolic resins.
