Reactivity

This product is colorless to light yellow transparent liquid, easily soluble in a variety of organic solvents, easy hydrolysis, condensation to form polysiloxane, overheating, light, peroxide is easy to polymerization.

Application

3-Acryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane can be used as bond enhancers in many applications, such as:

◆ Used for glass fiber to effectively improve the mechanical properties (bending strength, tensile strength, etc.) of glass fiber products and matrix (a variety of resins, including thermosetting and thermoplastic types) adhesion.

◆ Used as an additive to ink and coating, which can make the ink and coating film have excellent film hardness and brightness; Improve the adhesion of optical fiber coatings.

◆ Widely used as a reinforcing agent and crosslinking accelerator in composite materials, coatings, inks, glues, sealing materials, etc., and can also be used as a resin modification additive and enzyme fixative.

◆ As a crosslinking agent, can be used in silane crosslinked polyethylene cable and pipe; In wire and cable industry, the coupling agent is used to treat the EPDM system filled with clay peroxide crosslinking, and the consumption factor and specific inductance reactance are improved.

◆ Copolymerized with vinyl acetate and acrylic or methacrylic acid monomers, which are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants to provide excellent adhesion and durability.
