Properties

D-60 is a titanium chelates with 80% active content, which is a yellowish to orange hydrolytic transparent liquid. D-60 is soluble in most organic solvents such as alcohols, chain hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons.

The crystallization point of D-60 is about 0℃, and if crystallization occurs, it can be re-dissolved and used as long as it is slightly heated.

Reactivity

D-60 has a high reactivity, even at low temperatures, it can react well with R-OH, M-OH, Si-OH, or R-COOH and other groups, to form cross-linking and polymer layers to enhance adhesion. It is highly reactive with water.

Application

Silicon Sealant and Adhesive

D-60 is mainly used as the catalyst and adhesion-promoter of RTV silicone rubber, and the general dosage is 2-3% of the amount of OH POLYMER, it’s unnecessary for other additional coupling agents in the formulation. This product is usually used in the production of RTV Alkoxy silicone rubber, and RTV Oxime silicone rubber can be used also.

Coating Additive

D-60 is used as the cross-linking agent D-60 between polymers in coatings, or as an adhesion-promoter.

Reactive Catalysts

D-60 can be used as the catalyst of esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions. The typical reactive products include various of esters, polyesters, polyurethanes, epoxy sealants and adhesives.
