Properties

D-10 is a low viscosity colorless to yellowish transparent liquid with a pungent odor above 40 ℃, and white crystals below 40 ℃.

Reactivity

D-10 readily hydrolyzes upon contact with moisture.Hydrolyzed with water without catalyst at room temperature. The hydrolysis activity is between alkoxylsilane and chlorosilane.

Application

Crosslinker for RTV-1 acetoxy sealant

D-10 is the main cross-linking agent for the deacetic acid type RTV-1 and can be used either alone or in combination with other oxysilanes to achieve the desired properties and curing speed. The amount of D-10 suggest added is about 3-5%.

Precautions

The theoretical crystallization point of this product is 40 ℃. During actual storage (sealed and unopened state), crystallization may occur when the ambient temperature is below 40 ℃. Before use, it is necessary to check for any crystallization. If crystallization has occurred, it should not be used directly. It is recommended to bake (not exceeding 80 ℃) before use. The acidic RTV1 produced using this as a crosslinking agent may crystallize below 10 ℃. Please adjust the formula according to the sales area or season.
